The Problem:

Accidents involving vehicles has been the problem of the National Government especially when a country is under developing status. Cars, for instance, can be purchased easily which can be one of the reasons why our streets become populated. Another issue is the overloading delivery trucks, overloaded Buses, poor road signs, lanes, unworthy roads and minimal education on how road rules takes place. Despite the glaring numbers of road accidents,as per the Metro Manila Reporting and Analysis System reported in 2018, there are a total of 394 fatalities everyday on both adult and children, there hasn't any firm and comparable solution. One example of accident prone area is the Pan Pacific Highway also known as the Maharlika Highway that connects Luzon-Samar-Leyte and Mindanao through bridges,roads,thoroughfares and ferry. With a km radius of 3,517 and an accident reported of 1 fatality and 46 injuries everyday, we can all assume that over speeding, overloaded vans and trucks and unsupervised road is the main reason why such accidents happen.

Concept:

Why not make our road more worthy to drive on without any triggered senses of accidents? Maharlika is a Mobile Application that is part of the Doable and Simple Concepts for Traffic Management System's Technological approach in solving the problems involving the streets. The possibility of bringing back the weighing scales for loaded delivery trucks that can be track via mobile functions. Through this, accidents involving an overloaded trucks will be neutralized as they may face a maximum penalty if they refuse to heed. Another idea will be through usage of speed gun that the local government must purchase and shall be used by their local traffic enforcers to neutralized accidents involving over speeding. Another function that can be added is the Mandatory updates on all road works ahead within the vicinity of each cities and municipalities. Through this update, the drivers shall be able to maneuvered to their respective safety driving skills to avoid accidents. In Australia, when a driver has been on the steering wheel for about 2-2.5HRS. trip, they must replenish and took sometime to rest. An LGU or National Tourism Agency must create a Resting Area, in behind this concept, the driver can be able to give himself a break.

In addition, Local Government Units must place a signage that contains the following

Informations: Name of the City or Province/ How many Kilometers from the point of entry and exit point
Road signs and Road works
