PROBLEM
Once the drivers get a hold on to their licenses, nothing is more important than them driving their cars because it’s why they take it for. Updates on ordinances being implemented will never cross their minds as long as they knew what are the basics of road rules and since they are “not well aware” of the recent ordinances being practiced, they will always have an excuse to get away with the ticketing authorities.
One more thing about updates is that the car owners “may have forgotten” to let the transportation know if they did change their addresses and or if they already sold the car to someone else and did not update the ownership.
In reality, this is the common practice in the transportation field. Once you have your license, all else is done. High percentage of motorists won’t care anymore if they may have broke a rule or “I didn't realize that until now” attitude. Updating their details is another “hassle” for them so the government agencies never did took seriously as they, themselves are car owners as well.
CONCEPT
MANDATORY UPDATE is a Mobile application that can be develop for the sole purpose of updating all the details regarding the car owner including his address and license number, car information as well as its status.
Having been able to update the status of your car will be an advantage to distinguish the possibility of car napping and accidents, if the car is already registered, whose the current owner if ever the car was sold and make sure that the details are in full given information. It can also help in validating the status of the driver's license regarding his unpaid tickets, legitimacy of his license and most importantly, his knowledge about the rules on the road.
This provision must be mandatory on all car owners to make sure that the Transportation Department and its sub agencies will be able to track down unpleasant drivers using the information they enter on the application and/or website.
For verification purposes, the driver will take a snapshot of his mobile phone and his License for his Driver’s license update while for the vehicle an OR/CR must be taken a Picture.
A website is another option to update license & vehicle.
