THE PROBLEM
Admit it, we all are guilty with bribing the traffic enforcers or ticketing officers for us to leave the problem behind as we move on to our daily errands but we are very much in surprise when someone did the same thing especially those who hassles us. We also can always get away with traffic violations and we did not mind looking back. Problems on the road starts with each and everyone of us. Drivers, pedestrians and enforcers.
As long as we still have our license, we don't mind doing something to help in our own little way. That’s the Government’s problem anyway, right?
CONCEPT
The positive approach shall be use, for the drivers to magnify their thinking when it comes to doing good on the road. When they know that they are going to get something, they will do it. We have to take in consideration that people cannot just do whatever the ordinances and law is asking them to do but when you give them something in return that they can use for their own beneficial way, they actually will.

A. POINT SYSTEM
In our concept of Point System, we suggest for a more diverse kind of proposition. 12 points will be given to all drivers; Students, Sub Professional and Professional, saved in the Land Transportation Office Database for proper documentation and will be use for a year. Point deduction will be according to the penalty, the higher the road rules obstruction the higher the points to be deducted. In this kind of system, we can assure that both the Government and the drivers or motorists will be on the same side of the spectrum because both will profit.
B. CREDIBILITY ENDORSEMENT
In our CREDIBILITY ENDORSEMENT Concept, Drivers on both public and private companies must be able to forward their data to the Land Transportation and Regulatory Board and will be added to the Agency’s Database to better monitor their road rules awareness and penalties.
From this approach, companies who wish to hire drivers shall ask for DRIVING CLEARANCE FROM THEIR APPLICANTS to assure that they are capable of driving in Metro Manila at all times.
Through this, drivers will be able to adhere with the ordinances and laws that compliments with their job description as well as making sure that the company who will hire them would be able to propagate a good compensation for the employees, as well as being able to realize that they hired a “professional” Driver.
C. REWARD/ BONUS POINTS
Reward and Bonus Points is all about making sure that we have the most adaptable and law abiding drivers on the road as to lessen the accidents. Giving reward points to drivers to use for their license renewals will make a good impression that we are not making them as a punter but a participant for t he betterment of our traffic situation as well as creating a
positive outlook for them as a contributor.
Through this, we can motivate the drivers to do good once on the road if they wanted to have something from the Government because the Department can only do so much if we help them by participating. The more they abide with the law, the better rewards they’ll receive.
