SUBJECT 7- DPWH RESPONSIBILITY

PROBLEM

We are aware of the jobs that the DPWH has done and still on the process of completion. This is a good sign that we are moving forward towards the betterment of our roads and highways. Skyways are almost complete with a traveling time from Slex to Nlex at about 30 minutes or less. Then there's Mrt 3 that goes beyond the expectations. Our Trains from Philippine National Railways that has surpassed our needs for relaxing travel. Still,there is so much needed to be done and those who forget to give attention to.

Road Signs. U turn Slots. Lanes. Pedestrians. Yes, those are given a little attention but really important to make sure that our roads are in proper order.

Following things to be taken into serious action:
1. Blurry sign posted
2. Undefined lanes
3. No lanes.
4. Undefined clearways three lane
5. U-turn slots not well defined
6. Traffic lanes not in used
7. Turning left need to be adjusted
8. Road that has no lane

CONCEPT

DPWH has to complete visual check of the following:
* All traffic sign and lanes signage, road lanes, roundabouts etc.
* Early warnings signs must be in big bold letter and visible at night
* Directions in road markings.
* Rough roads to fix

DPWH has to implement a very strict policy to the contractors doing road fixing, underground cable & MWSS. Upgrade plans should be done 9pm to 6am work, well lighted roads and officers to attend the direction of the traffic. Having all standard roads around Metro Manila is a good practice ground for our new generation drivers. For not complying standard road conditions will be a failure to our educated drivers on road rules. Then traffic will not be fix.
